Helping them help themselves!

Harvest Arad team was able to purchase groceries at the local store in Chernivtsy plus received some food from Remar organization that we are partnering together and delivered to 85 refugees in the small village. People from Mariupol organized themself into church and now are helping refugees help themself.

Urgent prayer need!

From Pastor Christian: Right now it's 1030 at night here and I just got informed that one of our two vans that were driving from Ukraine to Arad broke down on the road. I talk to our closest church plan there and they are picking them up to hold them for the night and tomorrow to drive back to Arad. Pray for them

Serving Refugee Families at Vertical Mamaia Nord

Image
Our HPS brothers and sisters are teaching Romanian Language classes for the refugees at Vertical Mamaia Nord (Romania). The church has secured a 42 room hotel nearby to house/feed/care for people. They negotiated with the owners and are getting it for less than $400 per night (the WHOLE place). #GoGod!!! The team is now providing food and it is being cooked and served onsite with love and care.  Side note: Pastor Claudiu Mihaiu and the team there are about to celebrate the one year anniversary of this amazing church!

Need construction help!

Image
From Alex: Definitely we need construction people here.  They will build another huge tent in Suchava Romania after this one. Here in Chernivtsy (Ukraine) one tent will serve as a kitchen and into another they will put beds. If you have folks that are ready to GO (especially those that can do construction and speak Russian/Ukrainian), make sure to enter their info on the GO DOCUMENT.

Alex is back in school!

VIDEO: here is an update from Alex on the work that he and the team are doing this week to provide safety and refuge for thousands of folks fleeing Ukraine to Romania. Steve Smith and I are meeting with Alex this afternoon to check in.

Amazing day on the front lines...

Image
VIDEOS and PICS:  It was very productive day. We delivered medical supplies to the local children hospital in Ukrainian, city of Chernovtsy.  They were so thankful. We were able to meet with several families whose children are struggling with different disease. It’s hard to provide encouragement during this tough time but we did our best.  Late afternoon we started to assemble the second huge tent in downtown Chernovtsy. There are 300,000 people live in this town and about 60,000 refugees found the safe place here. In the few days they will put kitchen appliances into these tents and then they will start feeding those refugees. We are staying at school and as I am writing this note, there is a siren we hear now and we have to run to the basement…talk to you later. Thanks for prayers.

Meet Teo

VIDEO -  Alex: My new friend Teo has a big heart toward the Ukrainian refugees providing for them a lodging and food while they staying at his hotel in Arad. Praise God for such example!

Encouraging words...

Image
Alex: A special thank to Cristian Barbosu for leading the Ukrainian relieve team and directing team members in the most possible effective way. Our meetings at Arad Harvest church are very productive and leaders take responsibility sharing their time, treasure and talents to make life of refugees little easy.

Refugees en route

Image
Yesterday another group of refugees left Arad on the bus to Budapest. Romanian people united as well with compassion helping thousands of Ukrainian refugees. 500,000 refugees alone just in Romania. People here receiving an emotional healing, homes with nice beds are open for them to stay and even for some already found the place to work. I am sending a few pictures.
