Help for the churches in Mariupol

Image
Thank you friends for continue supporting people from Mariupol. I just got a letter from Pastor Sergey: Greetings, brother Alex! Yesterday guests from Romania, Italy and even Australia came to get to know us and convey blessings and help from their churches, which we are already starting to deliver to people who left Mariupol today! Many thanks to God for His love and care and for you  brother, that you turned out to be the very link through which God poured out His blessing into the lives of many people who found themselves without a home, job and livelihood! Today 27 people will receive food packages! We are very grateful to the Lord and His Church for support, care and love!  Thanks again to God for introducing us!  I will send photos as the sets are distributed. God bless, brother! Huge greetings from all of us Mariupol residents of your Church! God bless you!

God is rebuilding lives and families

From Pastor Doru: Olena and her little boy. They're both healthy. An incredible story. She came from the Kiev area with her husband and the other 2 boys. After 3 weeks, they decided to drive around the Black Sea to Azerbaijan to his sister in a car smaller than a Matiz. They were stopped at the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan because of documents. They decided to return to Constanta because they said "the Vertical Church received us as a family" She gave birth yesterday, and her husband and a friend want to go back to their hometown to take the rest of their belongings and settle here, because they feel safe. Thank God for everything!

These little ones have lost their families or their families have been killed on the front lines of the Ukrainian Crisis. Please pray, give, and go as God leads your heart.  from Pastor Christain: Thank you Alex for your heart. You are an example and inspiration for us. I arrived last night in Chernovtsy after 4 hr wait at the border. We unloaded a van and a trailer at Grace church, and today we unload the aid for the Mariupol group, the medical supply for the hospital, buy fresh meat for the refugees and work at Remar in the tents. Yesterday 8000 came from the war region in Dombas brought in w trains and buses. We will bring 15 of them to Oradea, Romania when we leave - another 15 hr drive. Praise God for the privilege to serve him!

Update from Mamaia Nord

Image
Hello friends - Pastor Doru just got back from Mamaia Nord and sent this great update. See how God is using our partnership to provide safety, refuge, and now  restoration... Below are some pictures and a few words of update from Mamaia-Nord, as I just was there and celebrate   1 Year   of God’s work among them! They host 47 adults and 45 kids in that hotel and last Sunday over 30 Ukrainians were worshiping with us, even though only 2 families are christians! Praise GOD! The needs for all this are like this: rent - 10,000 euros per month (is almost 100 euros per day,  for the whole building with 42 rooms! ) Utilities - 2,000 euros (electricity, heat, water hot and cold) Food - including meat, eggs etc (not just non-perishable food) hiring a full-time person for all the needs: talking to people, administrate de hotel etc They are doing Romanian language classes with adults and also with kids, trying to integrate them at some workplaces and so on.

WEEKLY UPDATE FROM PASTOR CHRISTAIN

VIDEO:  Here is an update from Pastor Christian who is in Ukraine right now meeting and working with local officials and leaders to begin moving into the next phase of relief efforts. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tmf9cjhl910v440/Cristi%20HPS%20Update%2001042022.mov?dl=0

The biggest need right now!

Image
Large Transportation Vans - Approximately $20k USD Each From Pastor Christian: I do believe that this is the most important thing because it is fundamental to everything we do. Food and hygiene products we can buy, volunteers we can have but how do we take them in Ukraine without a good car. Also we are filling 4 vans of aid a week and although it is hard to cover financially, we can still manage, but to buy a van is way beyond our abilities. Actually, all the vans we ever had at the church were bought them with a budget of $10k because we could not afford them, but because they were old and used, they cannot last long or take long rides. To go to Sighet (Ukrainian Border) is 12 hours round trip, to go to Cernauti is anywhere between 24-30 hours round trip, and most times loaded. That's why this time we prefer to buy a new one... because we get 4 year warranty and also because the second hand vans are the the same price like the ones we want to buy and it is new.

Look at what God is doing!!!

FROM PASTOR ALEX: Hi guys, I am back in Chicago but revived bunch of pic and video about what is going on in those tents that we build up in partnership with Remar. Only God!
